Hello bona here. Just in case some people don't know how to study for the composition of personal recount (might have) this exam is giving, here are some study tips~ Mrs Yip told us to chooose personal recount Personal Recount
1. for example =Boring occasion
-what was the occasion
-who were there?
-why was it boring?
2.using the boring example=You did something*
-must describe the something*
(how you did it and what you did)
3.using the boring example=disastrous consequences
-what was the disastrous consequences
-who were affected
-what you learnt
4.using the boring example= Feeling
-what were you feeling
(before boredom , during the doing something*, and the disastrous consequence)
To make the reader want to read more, you can -have a good but a realistic imagination
-keep the reader in suspense so that the reader WILL WANT to read more -keep the what will happen around the second ending paragraph
-make sure to have a lot of words that can make your reader VISUALISE what is happening. For example ( the fire that I started seemed to be cackling evilly at me. /I watched with widened bloodshot eyes/ my mouth turned into an O shape. I whipped my head around with my hair flailing over my face/ etc……. bla bla bla)
TO score high marks you have to do what it is listed above and
Write
-sufficient details
-describe why you love/hate the activity so much(not important)
-turn of events
-identify the features
-stay realistic
-real not imagined! STAY REALISTIC!
-personal opinion
-DO NOT FORGET ABOUT GRAMMAR!
It’s not much but don’t blame ! However, this will help. Even if it is a little ~ GD lucks for your exams and take care! =D
